WHY A REVISION PLAN CHANGES OUTCOMES

Most students who under-perform at GCSE didn't decide not to revise. They never worked out where to start, so they started late and revised whatever felt most urgent. A plan removes that challenge.

Planning is the part students skip

Teaching pupils to plan, monitor and evaluate their own learning is one of the best-evidenced things a school can do. The planner gives every student a concrete plan to work from - which subject, which day, how long - so the self-regulation your teachers are asking for has something to attach to.

Consistency beats cramming

Every plan spreads each subject across all the weeks available, gives more time to a subject as its exam gets closer, and keeps every subject in rotation so nothing is left to the night before. Past papers and mark schemes sit alongside the plan, so practice testing is built in rather than bolted on.

Dunlosky et al. (2013) rated distributed (spaced) practice and practice testing as the two highest-utility learning techniques reviewed. Source

What that looks like for your school

One consistent revision message across the whole year group instead of thirty different paper timetables. Fewer "I don't know where to start" conversations for tutors. And because every ticked-off block is recorded, your staff can see who is and isn't revising long before mocks - not after results.

SAFE TO PUT IN FRONT OF STUDENTS

You can recommend it in an assembly without worrying about what else it shows them.

No adverts, no tracking

No advertising, no cookies, no behavioural tracking, no marketing emails. The only emails a student receives are the ones needed to log in.

No distractions

No social features, no chat, no feeds, no links out to third-party websites. Past papers and mark schemes are hosted by us and open directly from the planner - students never leave it to go searching for them.

No password admin for staff

Students log in with a one-time code sent to their school email address - no passwords to remember, no password-reset queue for your office.

Works wherever they revise

Phone, tablet or laptop, with an add-to-home-screen option. Students who prefer paper can print their plan as a PDF and still tick blocks off online.

WHAT EVERY STUDENT GETS

Every student linked to your school gets the full Smart Plan - the same product individual families pay £49 for - at no cost to them or their parents.

Smart PlanNORMALLY £49 PER STUDENT - INCLUDED FOR YOUR YEAR GROUP

Students choose their subjects and exam boards, tell the planner when they can revise, and get a personal plan generated for them in just minutes. From then on the work is theirs: tick off blocks, keep the streak going, watch each subject's progress bar fill.

  • A plan that runs to their final exam, automatically built around their actual exam timetable (once it's published)
  • Automatically gives a subject more time as its exam gets closer
  • Fits around real life - weekends, holidays, session length, busy dates
  • Revision streaks, subject progress bars and smart insights
  • Catch-up view - what blocks they've missed
  • Exam-board-specific topic checklists including GCSE and iGCSE (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Eduqas, CIE)
  • Past papers and mark schemes for their subjects, with score tracking

WHAT YOUR SCHOOL GETS

A school account is a hub for your staff, not another system for students to learn. Setup takes less than an hour, and how often you choose to check in on their progress is up to you.

Quick to set up

Upload a CSV of names, email addresses, year group and (optional) form group using our template. Preview every row and fix problems before anything is imported. Add students one-at-a-time or in bulk, at any point in the year.

No MIS integration, no single-sign-on project. If you can export a spreadsheet from your MIS, you can set this up.

See who's revising - and who's stopped

For every student: hours of revision completed, current revision streak (best streak on hover), last seen, and the subjects they've chosen. Filter by year group or form group.

It's live data from what students actually tick off, not a report you have to request. Ideal for tutor time, parents' evening and Year 11 intervention targeting..

Set holidays and subjects once, centrally

Enter your term dates and half-terms once per academic year and every student's plan uses them automatically.

Set the subjects your school offers, tailored per year group, so students pick from your list first instead of scrolling past courses and boards you don't teach.

Staff access you control

Add colleagues as Teachers (view students and their progress) or Admins (edit students, staff, holidays and subjects). Remove access instantly when someone leaves.

At the end of the year, a one-step rollover moves your Year 10 up to Year 11 and archives your leavers. Your new Year 10 is added with a fresh CSV.

DATA AND PRIVACY: WHAT WE HOLD, WHERE, AND FOR HOW LONG

The questions your Data Protection Officer will ask, answered up front.

What we hold about each student
Name, email address, year group and form group - the four fields in your CSV - plus the revision data the student creates themselves (subjects, plan, blocks ticked off, past-paper scores). Nothing else. No behavioural tracking, no advertising profiles.
Where it lives
Data is stored and processed in the United Kingdom.
Who can see it
The student, and the staff your school has added to its account. Data is never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes. The only email sent to students is the login code.
How long we keep it
When a student leaves, their account is downgraded to a free account and kept so your school retains its cohort history. It is deleted 12 months after the end of the student's exam year, or sooner on request from the school or the student.
Your role and ours
Your school is the data controller for the student records you upload; we act as processor. We will sign a Data Processing Agreement with your school on request.

QUICK QUESTIONS

Do students or parents pay anything?

No. The school subscription covers every student in the year group, and each of them gets the full Smart Plan.

Do we need an MIS integration or single sign-on?

No. Students are added by CSV upload (template provided) or one at a time. They log in with a one-time code sent to their school email address.

Can we add students during the year?

Yes, at any time, individually or by CSV, at no extra cost. The subscription is per year group, not per student.

What can teachers actually see?

For each student: revision hours completed, current and best streak, when they last logged in, and their chosen subjects - filterable by year group and form group. Teachers don't edit student plans; the plan belongs to the student.

Which exam boards are covered?

Topic checklists and past papers are exam-board-specific and cover GCSE and iGCSE (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Eduqas, CIE). Students choose their board for each subject when they set up their plan.

What happens at the end of the academic year?

Your subscription renews for the new academic year if you choose to continue. A one-step rollover moves Year 10 up to Year 11 and archives your Year 11 leavers; you then upload your new Year 10 intake.

Can we see it before we commit?

Yes. Enquire below and we'll walk you through the school hub and a student plan on a short call.
